Getting to Halden from Oslo Airport (Gardermoen)
Our wedding will take place at Østgaard, Brødenveien 31, 1763 Halden — about 2 hours south of Oslo Airport (Gardermoen).
🚆 Option 1: Train (recommended)
The easiest and most scenic way to travel!
From Oslo Airport (Gardermoen), take the Vy regional train towards Halden or Gothenburg (Göteborg).
Total travel time: about 2 hours 15 minutes.
You may need to change trains at Oslo S (Central Station) — look for the R20 line to Halden.

The train station in Halden is about 10–12 minutes by taxi from Østgaard.
🚗 Option 2: Rental Car
If you prefer flexibility or are traveling as a group:
Major car rental companies (Hertz, Avis, Europcar, Sixt) are available at Oslo Airport.
Drive time: around 2 hours (180 km).
Take the E6 motorway south towards Gothenburg and exit at Halden.
Parking is available at Østgaard.
🚌 Option 3: Bus (budget-friendly)
Look for Vy express or Nor-Way Bussekspress routes from Oslo Airport or Oslo Bus Terminal to Halden.
Travel time: about 2.5–3 hours.
